I just received an out of state email about this, to pass on.

King County Library System in Washington went live on Evergreen last week.
The library system had secured a $1 million grant in 2009 to facilitate the
adoption of open source automation software in libraries.

Much of the recent development happening in Evergreen has been funded by KCLS.

King County is now the largest single library running Evergreen.

Ref: http://planet.evergreen-ils.org/ blog aggregation on Evergreen (Good site
to watch)
It has a series of posts on the KCLS event.

 From KCLS Website:

The new library catalog is a result of a collaborative effort between KCLS and
several partner libraries.
KCLS has been contributing development to an Open Source Library System, called
Evergreen, since 2008.
As traditional vendor managed software does not allow for much customization,
the Evergreen system was first developed by the Georgia Public Library Service.
KCLS’ role in its evolution has been to enhance Evergreen to become a highly
functional system capable of supporting KCLS’ wide variety of public services.
As KCLS is taking the lead on further developing the software, the project is
being watched closely by public libraries nationally with great interest.
