In just a few days (this Friday, July 1), the one-year pilot subscriptions to Mango Languages and Ancestry Library Edition will begin. Descriptions of these resources are available at http://www.mangolanguages.com/libraries/faqs/ and http://www.proquest.com/en-US/catalogs/databases/detail/ale.shtml . 

Libraries that already subscribe to either of these resources should see no change in their service. Both vendors have assured us that old accounts will be retained, with the only difference being that the billing will now go to Libraries Connect Ohio. 

The links to access these resources will be http://ohioweblibrary.org/mango (for libraries who are new to Mango) and http://ohioweblibrary.org/ancestry . These links will not be live until Friday; meanwhile, they will simply loop back to ohioweblibrary.org. If your library uses an internal proxy for databases, you should contact http://support.oplin.org to make sure you will have access on Friday. Libraries that already have Mango accounts can use either their current access links or ohioweblibrary.org/mango, either will work. Note also that Ancestry Library Edition will be available in-library only, and only in library buildings that have a fixed IP address. 

Libraries that already subscribe to Mango or Ancestry should contact their sales representative to receive credit for the remaining balance of their subscription. Keep in mind that these are pilot subscriptions and may not continue past June 30, 2012.
