[OPLINLIST] Library Leadership Ohio 2012 Interest Survey

Library Leadership Ohio began in 1993 to fulfill a need to develop the
next generation of library leaders. It offers library staff a unique
opportunity to explore their style and to develop their strengths. 

 

The Library Leadership Planning Committee - comprised of representatives
from the State Library, OHIONET, Ohio Library Council, and library
leaders from around the state - have come together to develop a Library
Leadership opportunity in Ohio for 2012.

 

We would like our library colleagues to consider this opportunity, but
we also realize that the landscape has changed since the beginning of
the Library Leadership Ohio program. As budgets have become tighter and
staffing levels lower, it is often difficult for staff to obtain
professional development, yet in these times quality professional
development and the development of management and leadership skills is
more crucial than ever.

 

In that spirit, the Library Leadership Planning Committee has developed
two surveys - one for interested library staff and one for
administrators - to help determine the viability of Library Leadership
in 2012.  Please help us to circulate these surveys broadly by sharing
them with other library colleagues.  Your candid feedback is crucial to
the success of this event.
