[OPLINLIST] State Library announces availability of LSTA minigrant funds

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce the availability of
Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds for minigrant
proposals. Under the minigrant program, any type of library may apply
for funds in one of the following categories:  Technological Innovation,
Automation, Targeted Populations, and Services to Youth.  

 

A maximum of $24,000 in federal funds may be requested.  A cash match of
25% of the total project amount is required.  Proposals are due at the
State Library by 4:00 p.m. October 24, 2012.

 

Approved proposals will run from April 1, 2013 through August 31, 2013.

This is the last round of grants to be awarded under the LSTA Five Year
Plan 2008-2012.  One of the objectives of the new LSTA Five-Year Plan
2013-2017 is to review and revise all LSTA grant categories and the
sub-award process.  Staff has a schedule to review grant programs over
the next year.  Prior to the release of the next LSTA Request for
Proposal for full grants or minigrants, grant categories, the RFP and
the application materials will be evaluated and revised to best meet
LSTA federal and state priorities.  It is staffs intent that the grant
cycles will remain on the same timeline as they are currently.
