Help us with our Caldecott Collection at KSU-SLIS!
The Marantz Picturebook Collection in the Kent State University School of Library and Information Science has an almost complete Caldecott Award and Honor Book Collection. The collection contains copies of all seventy-five award books and 215 of the 234 Honor Books. We are missing only 19 of the Honor Books---all with copyright dates of 1960 and before.
For research and study purposes it would be very useful to have the complete collection of Caldecott Honor Books. Though many research studies have been conducted on the Caldecott Award books, there have been few studies on the Honor Books.
If your library has a copy of one or more of the Caldecott Honor Books listed below that could be donated to the Marantz Collection, please email Dr. Carolyn Brodie at cbrodie at kent.edu<mailto:cbrodie at kent.edu>. The mailing address is : Marantz Picturebook Collection/Caldecott Project, Kent State University, School of Library and Information Science, 314 Library, 1125 Risman Dr., Kent, OH 44242-0001. As copies are promised/donated the list below will be updated and redistributed.
And, I hope you're enjoying the celebration of the 75th Caldecott Award. For information regarding activities, visit http://www.ala.org/alsc/Caldecott75.
Thanks very much for your help!
