There is also a new product about to come out from Novelist called Library
Aware: http://www.ebscohost.com/novelist/library-aware. I think it is geared
toward libraries that are too small to have their own marketing people. It's
not available yet, but it might fit your needs if you can wait.

Laura:

If you really want to move forward in graphic production, I suggest going
with Adobe CS4 Production Premium suite which you can get at a steal through
TechSoup www.techsoup.org or
http://home.techsoup.org/Stock/Pages/Category.aspx?category=AdobeSpecial&pag
e=2

You don't get the premade templates like Printshop - it's all self-creation
but it lets you produce professional stuff. I believe Webjunction offers
free classes on Adobe Illustrator and other products in the suite. There
are a couple of versions of the software - just make sure you get the one
with Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop.

We are in need of opinions: what kind of software do you use to produce
bookmarks, brochures, flyers, etc. for your library? We are a small rural
library; the children's librarian and I do all our in-house publishing and
we need a new program. Keep in mind we are "fairly" tech savvy but do not
need anything with tons of bells and whistles. What works for you in your
small library (those libraries with their own PR department probably will
not need to weigh in on this question-lol)?
We have been using an old version of Printshop but are getting new computers
and we will need to upgrade. Thoughts or opinions?
