Children's Specialist

The Delaware County District Library has an opening for a Children’s
Specialist to work 25 hours per week at the Orange

This position reports to the Assistant Branch Manager. Primary duties are
programming for children, working at the public services desk, creating
displays and some clerical tasks. (Complete job

DCDL places a high value on friendly customer service and has an active
program of service to children, teens and parents. The successful candidate
will have a strong customer service focus, the ability to hold children’s
attention during programs, the ability to multi-task, and excellent verbal
communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required; experience working with
children and experience in libraries preferred.

Starting salary is $11.99 per hour, with generous benefits and a strong
institutional commitment to continuing education. This is a part-time
position and will include working frequent evenings and weekends. Download
