Youth Services Specialist - Children

The Delaware County District Library has an opening for a Children’s
Specialist to work 30 hours per week at the Main
Library<http://www.delawarelibrary.org/locations/orange-branch>.
This position reports to the Youth Services Manager. Primary duties are
programming for children, working at the public services desk, creating
displays and some clerical tasks. (Complete job

DCDL places a high value on friendly customer service and has an active
program of service to children, teens and parents. The successful candidate
will have a strong customer service focus, the ability to hold children’s
attention during programs, the ability to multi-task, and excellent verbal
communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required; experience working with
children and experience in libraries preferred.

Starting salary is $11.99 per hour, with generous benefits and a strong
institutional commitment to continuing education. This is a part-time
position and will include working some evenings and occasional
