Description:

Marysville Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking an energetic, creative, team-oriented leader to fill the Director's position.

The Library director provides executive leadership and general management oversight in accordance with the goals, mission and values of the library. The Director leads the Library's Management Team in providing comprehensive, innovative programs, services and resources to ensure free access to information and lifelong learning opportunities for patrons of all ages.

The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated ability to create effective relationships; motivate and strategically lead a diverse staff; motivate and develop a vision for the use of library technology to improve services; and be skilled in developing positive working relationships with local government and community organizations and possess sound fiscal management.

Located in one of the fastest growing communities in the Ohio, the Marysville Public Library has two locations, more than 27,000 registered borrowers, circulations of more than 600,000 items per year and a budget of $1.5 million.

Education and Qualifications
MLS or MLIS degree from an ALA-accredited graduate program or advanced degree in a related field required.

Three years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a public library or three years of experience working in a senior executive capacity for a non-profit or service organization would be considered.  Experience administering a library supported by a local tax levy preferred.
