[OPLINLIST] 2013 Summer Reading Program Evaluation preview

The State Library asks all Ohio public libraries to report on their summer reading programs at program's end.  The information you will provide is of great value.  Your participation in the 2013 SRP Evaluation will help the State Library, Regional Library Systems, cooperating state agencies, and the Collaborative Summer Library Program to provide helpful resources and support for future SRPs, and to communicate the breadth of participation in library SRPs statewide.

The survey instrument will be available from mid-June through early September.  A link will be posted to OPLINlist and the Library Youth Services list.  Please help achieve 100% participation for 2013.

Here is a summary of the questions on the survey.  Review these questions, and track your SRP activities accordingly if possible.  This survey is shorter than last year's and should take you just a couple minutes if you have your numbers at hand (longer if you have extensive feedback to share).

2013 Summer Reading Program Evaluation Preview:

*           Library contact information

*           Did your library offer a summer reading program in 2013 for children? Teens? Adults?

*           How many children/teens/adults registered for your SRP?

*           How many children/teens/adults completed your SRP (if you define/track completion)?

*           What was the total attendance at your SRP-related children's, teen, adult, and all-ages library programs?

*           How did your total summer reading program participation in 2013 compare to 2012 (increased/decreased/no change)?

*           Did you use the 2013 CSLP theme(s)?  If not, what theme(s) did you use?

*           How did you track progress & completion of your summer reading program?

*           Did you distribute the Ohio State Fair coupon?  If so, how many coupons did you distribute?

*           Did you distribute the Ohio State Parks certificate?  If so, how many certificates did you distribute?

*           Please rate various statewide/CSLP services and products, including the CSLP manual, State Fair and State Parks incentives, etc.

*           What additional services, products, or resources would you like to see made available for summer reading program planning?

*           Do you plan to use the 2014 CSLP theme(s)?

*           Additional feedback, comments, suggestions
