[OPLINLIST] Book social media sites - anyone doing anything?

Dear Collective Mind,

Is anyone using LibraryThing, Goodreads, Shelfari, or any of the
book-centered social media sites?  What are you doing, and is how well is
it working out?

We're particularly interested in the possibility of using these sites as
selection tools, but anyting that helps staff or patrons would be good to
know about.
