Cross-posted to OPLINlist and SmLibs. Please excuse duplication.

I'm sending this message on behalf of OCAPS, in hopes that all Ohio public libraries will participate in this brief survey. OCAPS is creating a statewide directory of services for older adults. This directory will include homebound delivery service and other library services and programs of particular interest to older adults, as provided by Ohio public libraries. Please complete the OCAPS survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/868N9LW by Friday, July 25. Thanks in advance for your time.

We ask that you please click the link below to take our brief survey about resources and programs at your library. Our history for 2 + 2 units

05/2012. Bought (2) ASUS ELS's
12/2012 Upgrade s/w from 8 to 9
08/2013 Bought (2) ASUS ELS's
10/2013 Upgrade s/w from 8 to 9 for first (2) units
10/2013 (1) of the first order was replaced as touch screen was not responding.
Problem began 2 weeks after the upgrade, probably not related.
12/2013 Second of original order replaced as WSOD. (White screen Of Death)

Both replacement were a different unit.
Not really concerned as warranty still applies.

I agree with Chad's comments.

When a private contractor for Toledo Scale (Mettler-Toledo) I had a high end
(and very high $$$) IBM Thinkpad.
Extended (more $$$) the warranty twice (to 7 years) and able to get a 5 day
repair turn around with original unit back.
Time included shipping to/from the Nashville (or maybe Atlanta) Repair Center.
As my work unit, I knew its history and care and wanted to keep it.
Still have it 10 years later and fire it up every so often.

Probably would not do this now.

Definitely wouldn't pay extra for run of the mill units like ELS's
