Thank you to all the libraries whose 2014 summer reading surveys are already in!  For everyone else: The 2014 Ohio Summer Reading Program evaluation is open at:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/srpeval2014

The State Library asks all Ohio public libraries to report on their summer reading programs at program's end.  The information you will provide is of great value.  Your participation will help the State Library, Regional Library Systems, cooperating state agencies, and the Collaborative Summer Library Program to provide helpful resources and support for future SRPs, and to communicate the impact of library SRPs statewide.

This evaluation survey asks you to submit these numbers (as applicable):

  *   Children, teens, and adults who registered for your SRP
  *   Children, teens, and adults who completed your SRP (if you set a completion goal)
  *   Attendance at SRP-related programming for children, teens, adults, and all-ages
  *   State Fair coupons and/or State Parks certificates distributed

The evaluation survey also gives you the opportunity to provide feedback on SRP resources provided by CSLP, Upstart, the State Library, state agencies, and Regional Library Systems, and to make suggestions for improved or new services.  You are also welcome to write up any experiences or stories from your SRP that you'd like to share.  Individual stories of how SRP positively influences the lives of children, teens, or adults in your community are the most effective way to communicate the overall importance of public library summer programming.

The survey is shorter than last year's, and can take you just a couple minutes if you have your numbers at hand (longer if you have extensive feedback to share).

Please complete this evaluation by September 30.

This evaluation is for all Ohio public libraries that offer a summer reading program, regardless of the theme used or age group(s) served.

Thank you for collecting your data and completing the survey. Summer reading is a very significant factor in student success.  Your information helps us demonstrate the amount and variety of summer reading activity in Ohio's libraries, and helps us continue to improve our services.
