*Fall Author Visits at Bexley Public Library*

*Margaret Peterson Haddix, award-winning author of the Missing series |
September 8, 7:00-8:00 p.m.*
Join Margaret Peterson Haddix, award-winning author of more than 30 books
for kids and teens, as she discusses the eighth and final book in the
*Missing *series. *Redeemed* takes Jonah and Katherine someplace totally
new: the future. Haddix begins her national book tour right here in Bexley
as *Redeemed* is released on September 8. Offered in partnership with The
Book Loft, copies will be available for purchase.

*Sarah Jones, author of Orange, Triangle, Fox; Bunnies Near and
Far; and Lloyd Lama | September 10, 10:00-11:00 a.m.*
Join us for an extra-special storytime with author, artist, and
educator, Sarah Jones. The talented Bexley-native will be sharing stories,
singing songs, making crafts, and signing books. You and your little one
won’t want to miss out!

*Marilyn Greenwald, author of Pauline Frederick Reporting | September 28,
7:00-8:30 p.m.*
In *Pauline Frederick Reporting: A Pioneering Broadcaster Covers the Cold
War*, journalism expert Marilyn Greenwald tells the inspirational,
poignant, and sometimes heartbreaking story of Pauline Frederick, who
covered world-changing events for NBC’s evening news telecasts, Today and
Meet the Press. A pioneering woman reporter whose career covered print,
radio, and television journalism her story captures the experience of all
women and men who strive to balance a career and family. Offered in

*Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz, author of Dr. Mutter's Marvels | October 4,
3:00-4:00 p.m.*

of Intrigue and Innovation at the Dawn of Modern Medicine*, Cristin O’Keefe
Aptowicz explores the previously untold life story of the man with the
famous name: a young, handsome and ambitiously brilliant surgeon whose
talents in the operating room and lecture hall were unrivaled in his

*David Meyers & Elise Meyers Walker, authors of Wicked Columbus | October
6, 7:00-8:30 p.m.*
Local historians and writers David Meyers and Elise Meyers Walker are back
to talk about the crime and corruption that once plagued Columbus. Join
them to explore the heyday of Columbus’s most notorious fiends, corrupt
politicians and con men. Copies of their new book *Wicked Columbus* will be
available.

*James A. Willis, author of Weird Ohio and Ohio's Historic Haunts | October
13, 7:00-8:30 p.m.*
Join author James A. Willis (Weird Ohio, The Big Book of Ohio Ghost
Stories) as he shares some of his most hair-raising adventures from his 16+
years chasing ghosts in Ohio, both alone and with his organization, The
Ghosts of Ohio. Plus, get a behind-the-scenes look at his upcoming
book, *Ohio’s
Historic Haunts: Investigating The Paranormal In The Buckeye State*. This
unique presentation will feature audio and video clips as well as
photographs and is suitable for ages 10 and up.

*Stephen Snyder-Hill, author of Soldier of Change | November 11, 7:00-8:30
p.m.*
In his memoir *Soldier of Change: From the Closet to the Forefront of the
Gay Rights Movement*, local author and veteran Stephen Snyder-Hill details
his experiences serving in the US Army under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” as
well as what happened after he was booed on national television during a
primary debate, igniting a media frenzy. A book signing will follow. Books
will be available for sale.

*Jessica Fechtor, author of Stir | November 12, 7:00-8:00 p.m.*
Jessica Fechtor, a Wexner Graduate Fellow alum, will discuss her new
memoir, *Stir: My Broken Brain and the Meals that Brought Me Home*. At 28,
Ms. Fechtor was on top of the world: a Harvard graduate student, happily
married, and thinking about starting a family. Then one morning she went
for a run and an aneurysm burst in her brain. She nearly died. Her journey
to recovery began in the kitchen as soon as she was strong enough to stand
at the stove top and stir. There, she learned that food had something to
tell her, and that it felt good to listen. Offered in partnership with The
Book Loft, copies will be available for purchase.

*Erin McCahan, author of Love and Other Foreign Words | November 15,
4:00-5:00 p.m.*
YA author Erin McCahan, author of *Love and Other Foreign Words* will be
stopping by the library to talk about her books, her writing process, and
what it’s like to be an author today. She will be giving away a signed copy
of her book to a lucky participant.
