[OPLINLIST] Digital signage

I think placing the sign at the service desk is totally appropriate. The 
service desk is typically a busy place. Customers aren't reading books 
or studying at the service desk, so I doubt it would be a distraction.

One concern we had was public perception of the expense.  We purchased 
ours not long after getting a levy passed and we were concerned that the 
community might think it was a superfluous expense.  To combat that, our 
generous Friends provided the funds for the television and we have one 
slide that thanks the Friends for purchasing the display.

No one has said a thing about the sign being a distraction or a waste of 
money.
