[OPLINLIST] Stephanie Herriott has joined State Library of Ohio staff as Manager, Employee Services

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that Stephanie Herriott<mailto:sherriott at library.ohio.gov> has joined its staff as Manager, Employee Services.

Stephanie's primary focus will be the coordination of personnel activities which includes the recruitment, selection, orientation and retention of employees. She will also be the agency's point person for benefits, collective bargaining/labor relations, disability/workers compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA and agency/state policies and how these impact State Library staff.  Stephanie will also be a liaison with other agencies, boards and commissions with a focus on human resource and training issues.


Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts with majors in Political Science and French from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Master of Science in Education specializing in University Administration/Adult Learning Theory from Syracuse University. She has extensive experience in Human Resources and holds the highest HR certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources. She is also certified by The Ohio State University in curriculum design and structured on-the-job training. She has worked as a Payroll Officer and HR Generalist at The Ohio State University, a Human Resources Management Analyst Supervisor at the Ohio Department of Education, a Human Capital Management Manager and most recently a Human Resources Administrator for Learning and Professional Development at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services.

Just prior to coming to the State Library, Stephanie helped design and launch Governor Kasich's Lead Ohio.  Lead Ohio<http://das.ohio.gov/Divisions/HumanResources/LearningandProfessionalDevelopment/LeadOhioResourceCenter.aspx> is an initiative to develop successful leaders at every level of state government by standardizing supervisor expectations enterprise-wide, providing opportunities for networking, personal growth, skill-building, experiential learning as well as feedback and guidance from multiple sources.
