Third Annual Entrepreneur “Pitch Night”

Entrepreneurs need to hone their elevator speech in preparation for Hudson Library’s third annual “Pitch Night” competition to be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m.  Ten finalists will be selected from the pool of online applications to pitch their business ideas to a panel of expert judges in front of an audience.

Participants will need to apply online <http://hudsonlibrary.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9de0b91827b31e277d1eda9bc&id=1d76ae44e9&e=aad01c8626> for one of the 10-minute time slots available for this “shark tank” style program.  Online applications will be accepted starting Sunday, October 11, and must be received by Saturday, October 31, 2015. The ten finalists chosen to pitch will be notified by Friday, November 6. A $3,000 cash prize will be awarded to the first place winner, second place will receive $1500 and third place will receive $500. The public is welcome to participate as a member of the audience and watch the competition.

This event is one of many planned for the City of Hudson’s celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), returning for the second consecutive year, November 16-22. “Pitch Night” and GEW 2015 are generously supported by the Burton D.
