The State of Ohio Training Association<http://www.trainingohio.com/> (SOTA) invites you to join us December 16th at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris for a full day of learning and development that will include multiple speakers, including "Accepting Change in a Straitjacket" presented by Dr. Kim Carter, The Igniter.
Dr. Kim Carter, our featured presenter, will discuss the needed tools to maintain a connection with an audience, no matter what changes might occur. Participants will gain important change management skills to unlock the door to successful outcomes. Do you have trouble accepting change on a dime right before a presentation? Do you feel restrained by the unknown facets that surround your audience or environment? Do you want to know how to address and accept unforeseen changes that can occur during a training or speaking engagement? If so, then let's talk about it with Dr. Kim Carter, The Igniter, as she presents "Accepting Change in a Straitjacket!"

Our second presenter, Dr. Melissa Crum, leads a consulting company<http://www.mosaiceducationnetwork.com/> that infuses the arts, research, storytelling and critical thinking into professional development, community building and curriculum development. Dr. Crum works with her team of experts to act as engaging and collaborative resources for schools, nonprofits, and companies. She facilitates and encourages thought-provoking conversations addressing difficult topics on supporting, interacting, and partnering with diverse communities; using everyday practical applications of diversity and inclusion strategies to positively impact your environment. Her experiences working with educators, museums, and businesses has allowed her to help you make social change from your desk, to your living room and beyond.

The SOTA mission is to provide professional development opportunities and resources to training professionals who coordinate, conduct, influence, and/or are involved with training and organizational development activities. Membership is free.

As always, we will also present the Reggie Award to a deserving nominee who has worked to advance SOTA's mission.
