Stark County District Library is hosting a night you won't want to miss! New York Times bestselling author and free-range farmer Forrest Pritchard joins us October 18th at 6:30 p.m. for the next installment of the Dr. Audrey Lavin Speaking of Books Author Series. We expect that this will be a relevant and unique event for our community with the popularity of the farm-to-fork movement, Farmers' Markets and family run businesses. This event is free and open to the public:

Who
Forrest Pritchard, seventh generation farmer and New York Times bestselling author of Gaining Ground: A Story of Farmers' Markets, Local Food, and Saving the Family Farm. He is also the One Book, One Community Stark selection for 2016.

What
On harvest day, when five loads of GMO corn and soybeans reaped a meager paycheck of $18.16, Forrest realized his family's farm must change course to survive. With wit and wisdom, he recounts his farming trials and triumphs as he transitions from scholar to free-range farmer in his quest to save the family farm. The evening includes a lively discussion, a question and answer session and a book signing.

When
October 18, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.

Where
The event will be held at the Canton Palace Theatre, next door to the Main Library in downtown Canton, Ohio. With 1480 seats, there's plenty of room for everyone.
