The Wayne County Public Library in Wooster, Ohio has an open position for an Emerging Technologies Librarian.

Job Responsibilities:  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing creative and innovative technology training programs for library patrons of all ages as well as library staff.  Public speaking, conducting workshops as well as one-on-one instruction will be expected.

Qualifications:  Master's degree in library science (American Library Association accredited school required). Students pursuing an ML(I)S degree may be considered. Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Working Conditions: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week. Requires frequent travel to all library branch locations.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Knowledge of: Emerging web trends, eMedia, and other emerging electronic resources; Library materials, programs and services, computer software and electronic information resources.

Skills and Abilities: Ability to stay current with all aspects of technology as it impacts libraries. Demonstrated experience providing training, both one-on-one and in a group setting.  Ability to write, edit and proofread website content. Ability to work efficiently, independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities:  Develops and provides creative and innovative technology training programs for staff and patrons. Provides recommendations to management regarding new and emerging technologies.  Assists patrons in using the online catalog, Internet and other electronic resources and provides instruction as needed. Attends meetings, conferences, and trainings, as appropriate.

Pay Range: Starts at $15.95-20.34 per hour, depending upon qualifications and experience.
