[OPLINLIST] 2018 Ohio State Parks camping certificate now available!

Dear colleagues,

As announced, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Watercraft, is again providing a discount certificate for camping at Ohio State Parks as an incentive to support Summer Library Programs/Summer Reading Programs at Ohio public libraries.

At your library's discretion, any SLP/SRP participant of any age may receive a certificate for 50% off Sunday-Thursday camping and 10% off Friday-Saturday camping, good through October 31, 2018.

The terms of this incentive are similar to 2017, including the popular feature that certificate holders may reserve their campsites, using the promo code on the certificate.  The certificate is good 7 days a week, with a reduced discount on weekends. Campers may use the certificate for a stay that includes both weekdays and weekends; the reduced 10% discount will be applied to any Friday and Saturday nights during the stay. The certificate may not be used on holiday weekends, such as August 31 - Sept. 3 for Labor Day.

There is a standard reservation fee for all State Parks reservations, and the discount does not apply to this fee.  Walk-in campers do not pay this fee, but walk-in sites are subject to availability.

The certificates print 2 per page.  Please print or copy them on GREEN paper for distribution.  State Parks employees will only accept certificates on green paper, with library name and participant name included on the certificate.  You may write your library name onto your master before copying for distribution. The participant's name should be hand-written on the certificate.

Do not leave a stack of certificates out for patrons to self-serve. There is a 1/person and 5/family annual limit on redeeming these certificates. Thank you.
