Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library (CRCPL) is looking for an organized and experienced Access Team Leader. This position supervises the activities of the departments and staff that provide support or prepare library materials for public use, including: the Consortium Coordinator, I.T., Special Services, and Technical Processing departments. This position oversees approximately 10 staff, including 4 managers.


The Team Leader is responsible for the overall delivery of digital services across all library websites, third party tools, web and software applications; serves as the library's primary contact with vendors and agencies providing digital services to the library, including applying for and administering technology-related grants.

The Team Leader works closely with the Enrichment Team Leader and advises the Director on the activities and needs of the staff and departments within the Access circle.

Ross County is located at the intersection of Central Ohio and the rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio. Chillicothe is rich in cultural heritage and history and home to the oldest branch campus of Ohio University. CRCPL has 9 locations throughout the county and serves a population of about 80,000. Minimum qualifications:  an MLIS or advanced technology degree with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a library setting. Must have a supervisory background, an ability to communicate effectively, a demonstrated ability to train others, and knowledge of a variety of library materials, including online digital resources. The successful candidate will be a risk taker and problem solver.

Desired skills:  website/CMS experience; a history of working with digital vendors; statistical collection and evaluation; previous acquisitions and materials selection experience; scheduling and budgeting knowledge.

Salary and benefits:  $26.00/hour (40 hour week); paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave; health, dental and vision insurances; participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.
