Dear Public Library Colleagues!

It is my pleasure to announce that the Kent State University School of Information has a new scholarship program for underrepresented students and veterans.  The iSeed scholarship is designed to encourage potential students who are from underrepresented backgrounds or are veterans to pursue their MLIS at Kent State.  It is a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded during a student's first semester, after which students will be eligible to apply for other existing scholarships.  I am attaching a flyer for you to share in your library and would ask that you please also share it with your branch libraries.

In the changing information landscape, this is a unique opportunity to help potential students pursue careers in a range of innovative information jobs.  This is also an opportunity for us to partner in building and transforming tomorrow's information fields and its professionals.
