[OPLINLIST] Rambunctious tweens

Stop me if you've heard this before.   Currently at our library we have a large amount of 'tweens' who feel very comfortable utilizing the library.  However occasionally this disintegrates into a state of chaos that has become frustrating for my staff.  Has anyone done any training, or know of any tools that can encourage staff to feel empowered to approach situations that may disrupt the library experience of other patrons.
