[OPLINLIST] Teen Story Times

Good morning,

I have been researching libraries who offer "teen storytime" because I
would like to propose something like this at my own library. There's lots
of research about the benefits of being read aloud to at ANY age, though we
tend to think of it as something we do for only our youngest and oldest
patrons (like those in care facilities). Of the libraries offering
storytime for teens, It looks like some are reading fun/funny/clever
picture books and doing crafts, while others read aloud from longer fiction
titles and continue from week to week or month to month. None of the events
I've come across are from Ohio libraries, though!

So, does your library do anything like this? If so, I'd love to hear from
you about the logistics, how you promoted such a non-traditional event, and
the response from teens themselves (or lack thereof).

Thanks!
Jen
