Westerville History Center & Museum, Westerville Public Library, and Temperance Row Brewery
Join CO-ASIS&T on Saturday, November 9 in Westerville, a former hotbed of Prohibition activism in the United States, for a tour of the Westerville History Center & Museum. Serving as the city’s memory, the Westerville History Center & Museum's<https://www.westervillelibrary.org/local-history> holdings include historic photographs, abstracts, letters, diaries, and early records of the town. One of the greatest gems is the Anti-Saloon League collection, the organization known as one of the most responsible for persuading people to “vote dry” and pass the 18th Amendment to the Constitution - Prohibition.  The ASL’s headquarters were located where the museum is today, a two-story building attached to the main library. We will see the visitor’s view of the museum, as well as a behind-the-scenes look of the upstairs area. We will also hear about the past and future preservation efforts and what the History Center hopes to do in the coming years.

Afterward, we'll make the short trip to Uptown Deli & Brew<https://www.uptowndeliandbrew.com/>, the home of Temperance Row Brewery, for lunch and, if you so choose, a liquid celebration of Prohibition's repeal in 1933. We look forward to seeing you!
