The Wood County District Public Library Foundation Speakers' Series
presents an Evening with Nate Blakeslee at WCDPL (251 N. Main St., Bowling
Green, OH) on Tuesday, September 10 at 7 pm.

Nate Blakeslee is a writer-at-large for Texas Monthly. His first book,
*Tulia*, was a finalist for the PEN/Martha Albrand Award, winner of the J.
Anthony Lukas Book Prize, and was named a New York *Times *Notable Book of
2005.

Mr. Blakeslee comes to the library to talk about his most recent book,
*American
Wolf. *This book tells the story of the reintroduction of wolves into
Yellowstone National Park, focusing on the life and death of one wolf in
particular, alpha female O-Six.

“The fight . . . [over] Yellowstone’s wolves is embodied in O-Six’s story,
told with great immediacy and empathy in a tale that reads like fiction.
This one will grab readers and impel them into the heart of the conflict.”
~*Booklist* (starred review).

Copies of *American Wolf* will be available to purchase from the Friends of
the Library, and Mr. Blakeslee will sign books following his talk.

This event is free but ticketed. Tickets are available online at
https://www.wcdpl.org/Foundation_Series or may be obtained in person at the
library. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. For more
information call the library at 419-352-5104. Mr. Blakeslee's appearance is
made possible through gifts to the WCDPL Foundation.
