DEPUTY FISCAL OFFICER



Rocky River Public Library is seeking a Deputy Fiscal Officer, a leadership position in a vibrant and innovative independent medium-sized public library in suburban Cleveland, Ohio; approximately 21,000 population; budget approximately 5 million. This position assists in overseeing the financial activities of the Library and serves as the assistant financial officer. Performs financial functions for the finance office and works collaboratively with Administration. In the absence of the Fiscal Officer, the Deputy Fiscal Officer serves as the finance officer for the Library.



Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, verifying, dispersing, and reconciling purchase orders, collecting, recording, reconciling, and coding daily cash receipts, depositing daily cash receipts according to protocol, signs purchase orders, contracts, and bank documents in absence of Fiscal Officer as requested, and assists in the monitoring of revenues and expenditures and recommends transfers to Fiscal Officer and Director based upon spending patterns.



Qualifications: Consideration will be given to candidates with: Associate's degree in accounting. 5 years' accounts payable and accounts receivable experience. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices with strong mathematical aptitude. Ability to be bonded. Advanced skill level in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to establish and maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system and office procedures. Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy. Ability to resolve complex problems appropriately and to multi-task with pending deadlines.



The pay range for this position is $17.54/hr. - $26.31/hr.
