Hi all,

I hope you are doing well. I am sharing information about Cuyahoga Falls Library's free virtual author event.

Join us as we welcome David Lee Morgan, Jr., author of "Lebron James: the Rise of a Star" and "The Massillon Tigers: 15 for 15" as he discusses his new book "The Marion Motley Story" (Tentative Release August 2021). Motley was an African American professional football player from Canton, Ohio, who helped re-integrate professional sports in 1946 with the Cleveland Browns, a year before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in professional baseball in 1947. He was a man that changed the landscape of professional sports during a time in American history when segregation and racism were accepted and openly practiced, which is why it is important for the audience to understand the magnitude of Motley's story.
