Reform: The U.S. Department of Education is seeking input from all types
of stakeholders and interested parties as to what schools need to best educate
and prepare students. The Department has established 10 Regional Advisory
Committees to collect information on the educational needs across the country.
This is a unique opportunity for state and local educators, school officials,
librarians, business leaders, state education agencies, parents, the community
and others to provide input on educational needs and ways to address those
needs. Information will be collected by the advisory committees and will
be used to create a report for U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan.</span></font><font
