One is completely online (Museums and the Law), while the other three are on-site in Kent or a combination of on-site/online.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal'><span lang=EN>The workshops are part of the new museum studies program SLIS is launching this fall. Courses and workshops are open to students in the Master of Library and Information Science (M.L.I.S.) degree program, as well as to other graduate students and interested professionals.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal'><span lang=EN><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal'><span lang=EN>Because the SLIS museum studies courses are structured within a library and information science framework, students are able to cut across the spectrum of traditional academic disciplines and strengthen their skills as future museum professionals by gaining a broader perspective, a larger knowledge base and more flexibility.
