We have 12 Windows 7 laptops at our smallest branch, which patrons can use in the library, by checking out the laptop (each is barcoded) and leaving their ID at the desk. Patrons can use the laptop wherever they’d like. We keep the laptops frozen with DeepFreeze, and we’ve never lost one. We plan to open a new building for that branch this year, and we have lots of additional seating with power outlets accessible, anticipating laptop use.
