<p class="MsoNormal">The Ohio Dept of Transportation (ODOT) is looking for a home for a film-based historic Ohio aerial photo collection. The collection includes approximately 2<span style="color:#1F497D">,</span>600 rolls of aerial film dating back to 1946. If
transferred to a different location, items that may be included are a light table, index books and the compact shelving on which the collection resides. Each roll is approximately 6 lbs. and is stored in a cylindrical 6”x 10” plastic canister. Most of the
film is polyester and non-flammable. A few pictures are attached.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">ODOT is in the process of digitizing the collection but does not plan to keep the rolls, once digitized. From an archival perspective, these rolls are priceless and irreplaceable. Ideally, the film will need to be stored in a temperature
and humidity controlled environment to reduce the deterioration of the film. ODOT would be willing to transfer the collection to a university archive, library or interested campus department or school but is open to other possibilities.
