Schools’ 21<sup>st</sup> Century grant, will host dystopian teen fiction author Mindy McGinnis at its main location (121 Fair Ave NW, New Philadelphia) on June 17 at 1:30 p.m.</p>

<p>McGinnis’ first book, <em>Not a Drop to Drink</em>, is a post-apocalyptic survival tale set in a world where fresh water is almost nonexistent. According to McGinnis, the idea for this book came from a dream she had after watching the documentary
<em>Blue Gold</em> which detailed a projected water shortage.</p>

</p>
<p><em>Not a Drop to Drink </em>is slated to be on the big screen. McGinnis’ book caught the attention of
<em>Twilight series </em>author Stephanie Meyers, and the two are currently collaborating to make the film adaptation of McGinnis’ book,
<em>Not a Drop to Drink,</em> through Meyers’ production company <em>Fickle Fish Films</em>.</p>

<p>The author visit is not just for teens and tweens. Anyone who enjoys teen literature or has an interest in writing is welcome to attend.</p>

<p>Books will be available for purchase and a book signing will follow the program. This free program is open to all ages. Contact the library at 330-364-4474 ext. 101 for more information or to reserve your seat.</p>
