<p class="MsoNormal">The Melvil Dewey Medal is an annual award consisting of $2,000, a Dewey Medal, and a 24k gold-framed citation to an individual or group for recent creative leadership of high order, particularly in those fields in which Melvil Dewey was
actively interested: library management, library training, cataloging and classification, and the tools and techniques of librarianship. The 2015 award winner was Hwa-Wei Lee, former chief of the Asian Division of the Library of Congress.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">ALA is currently accepting nominations for the Melvil Dewey Medal award:
