I conducted background research on various types of adaptive technologies and determined the best purchase for the library was ZoomText, which came with text enhancement and an audio reader. Tom Sawyer of the Cleveland Sight Center was invited to give a talk and and he demonstrated the latest technologies for the visually impaired, along with Amy Craig from the PSA3 Agency on Aging. The event was covered by our local FOX and NBC news stations to provide greater public awareness.
