<p class="MsoNormal">Some OLC Convention participants attended a mini-training with Ryan Dowd, creator of
<b>The Librarian’s Guide to Homelessness<sup> TM</sup>: Compassionate Tools for Reducing Problems</b>, which was offered as a breakout session at Convention last week.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This mini-training was taken from the full online training, “<b><u>Practical Tips for Difficult Homeless Patrons</u></b>” at
<a href="http://www.HomelessLibrary.com">www.HomelessLibrary.com</a>. Just released in August 2016, this training is already being used by 57 libraries across the United States and Canada. The full training includes a 90-minute core class and 60-minutes of
bonus material.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The training can be purchased as:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• A license for your whole library (Note: any library considering an annual subscription for their whole library is entitled to a one-week full trial access for one staff member.)<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Groups of individual licenses for specific numbers of staff<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In honor of the Ohio Library Council, any library in Ohio purchasing licenses before October 15, 2016 will receive 25% off the normal price of this training. You do not have to be an OLC member library, or have attended the OLC Convention,
