<p class="gmail-MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Lepper Library seeks a highly motivated individual to join our team as Youth Librarian. The successful candidate

work closely with the Library’s Director in providing creative and
innovative approaches to library services for children and families.<span>

execute, and evaluate children’s and teen programming based on sound
child development principles, current educational practices,

use of the collection by students, adults and teachers, including

<p class="gmail-MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> This position requires an MLS or MLIS Degree or equivalent experience as a youth librarian in a library.<span>
</span>The candidate must have solid knowledge of computer skills,
social media, emerging technologies, digital formats and the ability to
communicate effectively, orally and in writing.<span>
</span>A strong customer service philosophy is important including a personality that connects well with children and teens.<span>
</span>Having s</span><span lang="EN" style="color:black;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">elf-motivation and the ability to prioritize varied tasks is necessary. Also, being able
</span><span style="color:black;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">to effectively network and represent the library to children, parents, educators, and businesses.</span><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"></span></p>
<p class="gmail-MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This position is full-time, 32 hours per week and includes some evening and Saturday work.<span>
</span>The starting salary is $15.50 per hour with a $.50 increase after the six month probationary period and a favorable evaluation.<span>
</span>The position also includes vacation and sick leave.</span></p>
