<b>Day By Day Ohio</b> is a tool that families, caregivers, educators, and librarians can use at home, at the library, on the go, and in the classroom. With a perpetual calendar featuring songs, activities, book suggestions, and videos,
<b>Day By Day Ohio</b> offers resources to further develop early literacy skills that help young children prepare for, and to do better in, school. Children enjoy fun, positive learning experiences like
<b>Day by Day Ohio</b> that support school success and, ultimately, lifelong learning. Share

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">The State Library of Ohio, in collaboration with Ohio Ready to Read, is pleased to offer the
<b>Day By Day Ohio</b> calendar, and all resources on the website, to promote family literacy and family engagement across Ohio. The calendar has monthly themes that highlight videos, suggested books, songs, and activities for each day. In addition, information
 about family health and wellness, literacy and creativity, and ideas for exploring Ohio are easily accessible on the website.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">“We are excited about making this tool available to support families, educators, and librarians as they engage with young children to help them develop the early literacy
 skills needed to prepare for and succeed in school,” expressed State Librarian Beverly Cain.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">Day By Day Ohio</span></b><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif"> is a customization of a project of the South Carolina State Library,
 developed in partnership with many agencies and organizations, and primarily funded by a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">“We are grateful to our friends at the South Carolina State Library for sharing and allowing us to customize the project they developed,” said Cain. “We are also deeply
 grateful to the members of the <a href="https://www.ohreadytoread.org/" target="_blank">
Ohio Ready to Read</a> Task Force, who spent months reviewing each daily calendar page and recommending updates and additions.  I’d also like to personally acknowledge the work of the State Library’s IT, Youth Services, and Marketing staff for their hard work
