energetic, forward-thinking, and patron-focused, with an interest in working
with the youngest library patrons?<span>  </span>Then
it’s time for you to think about joining the Minerva Public Library Youth
Services team.<span>  </span>This position is
essential to the daily activities of a very busy department serving children,
educators, and caregivers.<span>  </span>This new
position will be responsible for planning and coordinating library story times,
as well as creating, promoting, and executing programs for preschool age
patrons and their caregivers.<span>  </span><b><span></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;text-indent:0.5in;margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">The Library’s
Youth Services Department works closely with Minerva Local Schools, area
private schools, and homeschoolers, providing over 950 class visits in 2019, as
well as weekly story times, numerous special programs, and an engaged summer
reading program.<span>  </span><span><span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent:0.5in;margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">The ideal candidate will have an <span>Associate or Bachelor’s degree with a focus
on early childhood education, and demonstrated successful experience in library
service to children, or a combination of educational programs and experience
demonstrating success with groups of children and knowledge of children’s
literature and materials.<span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif"><span><span> </span><span>           </span>This
is a full-time (40 hour week) position with excellent paid leave and insurance
benefits, and a base wage of $12.70 an hour.<span>
