 benefit our region.  I was recently asked to do a one-on-one coaching session for a library manager.  The session was virtual and we spent two hours talking about the role of managers, discussing general and specific situations and utilizing the Supervisor
 Skills Questionnaire to assess management strengths and areas that might need improvement.  We both agreed that it worked out well and the manager felt it was helpful.  As a result, we will be offering one-on-one management coaching on a trial basis as a one-time
 service for those who feel it would be beneficial.  The Supervisor Skills Questionnaire is used in the day-long Supervisor’s Toolkit workshop for the New Supervisors’ Academy.   The assessment provides a framework for discussion regarding one’s current skill
 set as a manager.  Strong leadership begins with a knowledge of our strengths and the areas in which we need to improve and grows as we become confident in applying that knowledge.  If you or someone you know is interested in improving your management skills
