 and leading in the crucial work of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). With the goal of creating a more welcoming, learning experience for all library workers in the region, NEO-RLS formed the DEI Strategies Committee.

The past few months, we have built this committee on the collective understanding of the importance of DEI in shaping a safe library community. Some of our internal and external goals include greater diversity in programming, reviewing policies and guidelines
 through a DEI lens, and creating services and resources for the membership. The committee has even created exit interviews for committee members and Trustees finishing their terms and has begun working on an orientation plan for new committee members.

With help from information gathered from the membership survey, the DEI Committee will spend the next few months writing our charge, creating an action plan, and implementing our goals.
