The Milton-Union Public Library is seeking an experienced librarian who may be ready to take the next step as a library director. This person should have managerial skills as well as experience with budgets, grant writing, problem-solving, staff development, public relations, and work experience in all areas of the library. The new director will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities of the library and maintaining and enhancing our current digital and online offerings. Responsibilities also include community outreach and coordination with the schools and other local organizations as well as providing support and guidance for our creative and dedicated staff of 12.

The Milton-Union Public Library is located in West Milton, OH. We are a school-district library serving a population of approximately 10,000 patrons in Union Township. The library is a vital part of the community providing a wide variety of materials and internet access, offering activities for adults and children and is a patron-friendly place where community members feel welcome.

Education/Experience Requirements: Candidates should hold a BA/BS degree and have, or be interested in pursuing, an MLIS degree. Candidates should also have some combination of 3-5 years of professional library experience and supervisory or managerial experience.

Compensation: Salary, with additional benefits, is dependent on qualifications and experience.
