leader, consensus builder, and strong library advocate as its next Director/CEO. As one of only six libraries in the country to have received the <i>Library Journal 5-Star Award</i> every year since 2007, Worthington Libraries is committed to providing excellent

<span style="color:black">Founded in 1803, Worthington is one of the Midwest’s first planned communities located at the center of Ohio’s crossroads. A suburb of Columbus, Worthington offers all the attractions and conveniences of a big city combined with the
charm of small-town living. The library serves residents in the City of Worthington, Village of Riverlea, portions of the City of Columbus, and Sharon and Perry Townships. Worthington’s Village Green serves as the local gathering place and is alive with activities

<b><span style="color:black">Responsibilities</span></b><span style="color:black"> include but are not limited to creating and articulating a clear and exciting vision for the future of the library to all library stakeholders; providing visionary, strategic,
and transparent leadership to all library stakeholders; developing and supporting all efforts to advance the library’s mission and building community support for the library’s collection, services, and programs; ensuring the library complies with all applicable
laws; recommending and implementing library policies; serving as Deputy Fiscal Officer of the Board of Trustees; supporting the professional development of all staff and seeking to build a diverse workforce; negotiating the labor contract with Worthington
Public Libraries United; and fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for staff and patrons.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;text-align:justify;background:white">
<b><span style="color:black">Qualifications:</span></b><span style="color:black"> A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years leading an organization are required. A master’s degree in business administration, public administration, or library science–from
an ALA-accredited school–and a minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising a system-wide department or branch library, in a public library are preferred. Experience working with unions is also preferred. The ideal candidate will understand the nuances
of the modern workplace, be an active listener and effective communicator, strengthen relationships inside and outside the organization, work closely with the Board of the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries; and serve as a trustworthy source of leadership
and inspiration. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;text-align:justify;background:white">
<b><span style="color:black">Compensation:</span></b><span style="color:black"> The hiring salary range is <b>$130,000 – $160,000</b> (with placement negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications) and an excellent fringe benefits package. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
