 State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that Jeff Laser recently joined our staff as Library Consultant for Strategic Planning. Jeff is responsible for assisting libraries in all parts of the strategic planning process, including the development of community
 surveys, leading focus groups, and providing reports and recommendations to library directors. Jeff will have additional duties including serving as an LSTA grant reviewer. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-family:"Source Sans 3",sans-serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-family:"Source Sans 3",sans-serif">“Jeff is a wonderful addition to the State Library’s team of library consultants,” expressed Evan T. Struble, Associate State Librarian for Library Development.  “His experience working
 with Ohio’s libraries on strategic planning during his time at NEO-RLS demonstrates his understanding of how to help libraries navigate their paths to success in their communities. He will bring that knowledge to enhance and evolve the State Library’s own
 strategic planning processes.” </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-family:"Source Sans 3",sans-serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-family:"Source Sans 3",sans-serif">Jeff comes to us from the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System (NEO-RLS), where he served as Continuing Education Coordinator. In that role, Jeff also provided NEO-RLS's strategic
 planning services to its members, including the creation of community surveys, facilitation of focus groups, and the synthesis of data. Jeff would utilize that data to assist libraries in the development of their mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives.
 Prior to his work at NEO-RLS, Jeff was a Branch Services Librarian at Cuyahoga County Public Library; he also held multiple titles, including Adult Services Librarian, over a nine-year period at Bexley Public Library. During his time at Bexley, Jeff was instrumental
 in the launch of the community-focused services "Book-a-Librarian" and "Personalized Music Picks." Jeff is an ILEAD Ohio alumnus, having been a part of the 2017 cohort. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
