<a href="https://www.ohioana.org/programs/ohio-book-awards/">2025 Ohio Book Awards</a></b>, presented by the Ohioana Library.

<p class="MsoNormal">The awards, first established in 1942, honor Ohio authors in the categories of Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Juvenile Literature, Middle Grade Literature, Young Adult Literature, About Ohio or an Ohioan (which may include books by non-Ohio
authors), and Readers’ Choice. The Ohioana Book Awards, renamed in 2024 as the “Ohio Book Awards, presented by the Ohioana Library,” are the second oldest state literary prizes in the nation.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>The 2025 Ohio Book Awards ceremony and reception will take place at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus on the evening of Wednesday, October 15. All winners are scheduled to be present at the event with the opportunity for book signing after

<i>Swim</i>. The Marvin Grant is named for Ohioana’s second director, is endowed by his family, and is a competitive prize for Ohio writers aged 30 or younger who have not yet published a book. The award has helped launch numerous writers’ careers.
