JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</div>

The Technology Manager is responsible for supporting the Barberton Public Library’s mission by developing, implementing, and coordinating the Library’s electronic environment. Position duties include: overseeing the maintenance and operation of the Library’s
technology, computer equipment and related software applications; managing the IT Help Desk; assisting and training staff and patrons on the use and capabilities of Library equipment and software; acting as the Library’s technology liaison with CLEVNET; maintaining
the Library’s cybersecurity program; serving on the Library’s management team and providing input on strategic planning for the future of the Library’s technology services.</div>

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</div>

A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, as well as a minimum of two to four years of related work experience, are required. The successful candidate will have
a knowledge of library technologies, including but not limited to telecommunication systems, servers, computers, printers, and security systems, and excellent communication skills.</div>
