Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) includes tools and strategies people use to communicate when thy cannot rely on speech alone, from gestures and signs to picture boards and speech-generating devices. This session will explore practical ways
 to support AAC users during reference transactions, incorporate AAC into existing in-house and outreach storytimes, and plan specialized AAC storytimes. Participants will also have the opportunity to see and explore a variety of AAC tools firsthand, including
