Technology Coordinators:

We are in the process of setting up our filter software
for public and I need some information from those
libraries that filter their internet computers:

1-Do you filter all your internet computers and only turn
off the filter when asked by the patron?
or do have on the screen choosing
filtered or unfiltered for adult patrons only??

2-If yes, do you simply turn off the filter or do you require
the patron to give you a reason why they want an unfiltered
    computer??

3-How did you decide to choose what to filter and what not
to filter? (We have a list of categories that our vendor has
asked us to mark off to Allow or Deny)

4-Anyone have filter policies to share?

5-We plan to place our Internet Policy on the screen for
patrons to read and accept or reject--does anyone have
    a shorter policy to share??
How many of you do this?
(I know our patrons will not read the entire policy but must scroll

5-Any other information you want to send me to help us out!!!

    Thanks in advance,
