[OPLINTECH] Where do you buy technology stuff?

I'm a little late joining this thread, but have found that in addition to
CDW-G, Global, and newegg.com that GovConnection.com has also had good
selection and availability (this is a government unit for the old
PCConnection/MacConnection group). A big factor for southern Ohio has been
their active use of the old Wilmington/Clinton airforce base for
warehousing, and heavy items like batteries or racks have often been
significantly cheaper on freight due to the distance. For hard to find
electronics hardware, adapters, try mouser electronics (www.mouser.com)
B&B Electronics also has an interesting line of com port to Ethernet
adapters and other items related to HVAC or terminal device monitoring.
We have also had occasion to use buy.com and millionbuy.com for consumer
items like earphones.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Where do you buy technology stuff?

I buy a lot from CDW-G (excellent service and easy to order from), and
I've started buying from GlobalGovEd a little. I've noticed in a few
cases that I can get things cheaper from Amazon or NewEgg, but as far as
I can tell these guys require payment up front and my library doesn't
have a credit card (I use mine sometimes but I prefer not to). So:

1. What vendors do you use for misc. technology purchases?

2. Does your library have a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) that you
can use for these things?

Thanks.

Phil
